All Cadets, C/CMSgt through C/Col, are invited to attend Officer Training School being held at Civil Air Patrol’s Cadet Training Center (Blue Beret Facility) in Oshkosh, WI.  C/SMSgt’s who have previously attended NonCommissioned Officer School are also welcome to attend.

The purpose of this school is provide cadets with the training and knowledge necessary to be a successful cadet commander and cadet officer.  Students will be challenged to think about issues facing the cadet program and will receive training from a staff that has had years of experience running the cadet program, giving both cadet and senior perspectives.

Topics being discussed will include:
  Recruiting & Retention
  Building a cadet staff            
  Leading a cadet staff                                 
  Interaction with Senior Members
  Setting Goals                                             
  Command Presence
  Responsibility and Accountability              
  Continuity and Mentoring  
  Creating a Quarterly Training Schedule    
  Cadet Advisory Council (why be involved?)

Flying In:
Personnel arriving by corporate or member-owned aircraft must have received appropriate flight releases.  Aircraft are to be parked on the West Ramp via the Papa One taxiway.  This is the ramp closest to the CAP facility.
